Biography

Alan Murphy, a renowned English rock session guitarist, left an indelible mark on the music world through his extensive collaborations with the illustrious Kate Bush and the iconic Go West.

As fate would have it, Murphy joined the esteemed jazz-funk band Level 42 as a permanent member in 1988, embarking on a remarkable journey with the group that would ultimately come to an abrupt halt with his untimely passing in 1989, brought about by the devastating consequences of pneumonia, a direct result of his struggles with AIDS.
