Biography

Alan Holleb, a multifaceted creative force, was born in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, in the year 1945. He went on to pursue his passion for filmmaking by graduating from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) film school in 1971.

Holleb's feature film debut, a highly entertaining and captivating entry, was "Candy Stripe Nurses," released in 1974. This film marked the culmination of a popular cycle of seriocomic drive-in exploitation nurse movies produced by Roger Corman's New World Pictures during the early to mid-1970s.

After a decade-long hiatus from the film industry, Holleb returned to direct his second and final film, "School Spirit," a lighthearted and humorous comedy romp, produced by Corman's Concorde/New Horizons studio in the mid-1980s.
