Adam Lee Bartlett, a talented individual, was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Douglas Lee Bartlett and Lora Dawn Bartlett. At the tender age of 20, he made the bold decision to relocate to Toledo, Ohio, leaving behind the opportunity for higher education, in pursuit of a career in the music industry.
During his time in Toledo, Bartlett's creative inclinations took a new direction, as he developed a passion for writing, engaging in recreational writing activities. Simultaneously, he founded Gilead Media, a record label dedicated to releasing vinyl records, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.
After a two-year stint in Toledo, Bartlett returned to his hometown of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to be with his fiancée, Cari Tetzlaff, and reconnect with friends and family. This period allowed him to continue refining his writing skills, grow his record label, and forge a lasting friendship with future filmmaking partner John Pata.
In the late 2009, Bartlett and Pata commenced co-writing their feature-length debut, Dead Weight, marking the beginning of a fruitful creative collaboration.
