Acquah, an African-American actor with Ghanaian roots, was born in Reston, Virginia, but grew up in Miami, Florida, and considers both states his hometown. He received his high school diploma from Coral Reef, Miami's mega magnet high school, in the Visual and Performance Arts department, specializing in theater.
Following high school, Acquah returned to Virginia to pursue higher education at Shenandoah University, where he graduated from the conservatory with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. His academic achievements did not go unnoticed, as he was subsequently accepted into The Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a Master of Fine Arts in acting.
After completing his graduate studies, Acquah relocated to Los Angeles, where he has been living and working ever since. He continued to hone his craft, enrolling in the Second City Hollywood Conservatory program for improv and sketch writing at Upright Citizens Brigade Los Angeles, covering all levels of improv.
Throughout his career, Acquah has accumulated an impressive array of credits, including the world premiere musical Miley Montana on the main stage at Second City Hollywood and the role of Achilles in Iphigenia in Aulis at The Getty Villa. When not working, he can be found performing at Second City Hollywood and other comedy stages in Los Angeles, solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
