Young Guns

In 1878, John Tunstall, a rancher in New Mexico, takes in troubled young men to work on his ranch and teach them reading. However, his business rival, Murphy, sees him as a threat and has his men kill Tunstall. When the authorities refuse to take action, Tunstall's young friends, now deputized, seek revenge against his killers. Led by William Bonney, who earns the nickname "Billy the Kid," they become notorious outlaws, pursued by Murphy's men and the army. Despite being hunted, Billy is hailed as a hero by the people for his fight for justice.
