Sam Lombardo, a guidance counselor and sailing instructor at Blue Bay High School, has a reputation for helping disadvantaged students, including Jimmy Leach and Suzie Toller. He's in a relationship with Barbara Baxter, the daughter of a high-powered lawyer. However, his world is turned upside down when student Kelly Van Ryan accuses him of rape, followed by Suzie making similar accusations.
