Robert Deacon, affectionately known as "Deacon" to his friends, was born in Waltham, Massachusetts, and spent his formative years in the nearby city of Newton. Upon completing high school, he enlisted in the Marines in 1960, serving for four years before transitioning to the business world. He joined his father's printing and reprographics company, eventually rising to the top sales position. Later, Deacon ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his own direct mail and advertising firm.
As he continued to navigate his professional journey, Deacon relocated to South Florida, a destination he had visited numerous times prior. It was here that he decided to pursue his passion for acting, and the film and television industry soon became his true calling.
As a character actor, Deacon has taken on a diverse array of roles, showcasing his impressive range from the lovable bumbling fool to the tough and cunning con artist. Contrary to his physical appearance, Deacon is a skilled comedian, able to effortlessly entertain and keep audiences in stitches.
Despite being twice-divorced with four children, Deacon has no intention of remarrying, stating that he has had his fill of matrimony. However, his true love and focus remain firmly rooted in his acting career, with nothing capable of diverting him from his artistic pursuits.
