In this modern retelling of Oliver Twist, the story is told from the perspective of Artful Dodger, now known as Dodge. The tale follows Oliver, a beautiful and innocent young man, as he falls into the hands of a group of down-and-out youth. Dodge takes Oliver under his wing, teaching him the harsh realities of drug abuse and prostitution. As Oliver's innocence fades, both young men struggle with inner and outer demons, and surprisingly, it is Dodge who finds himself unable to escape his troubled past.
