Biography

Tygh Runyan is a multifaceted artist, renowned for his versatility and talent in both film and music. He has had the privilege of working alongside some of the most esteemed actors and directors in the industry, including Robert DeNiro, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Tim Robbins, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Throughout his career, Tygh has received critical acclaim for his nuanced and memorable performances in a wide range of films, including The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, Twist, Normal, Mount Pleasant, A Night for Dying Tigers, Various Positions, and Emile. He has also been recognized for his work in independent films, which showcase his passion for storytelling and his ability to bring complex characters to life.

In addition to his work in film, Tygh is also a talented musician. He has been playing the guitar since childhood and has released five albums with his experimental rock band Beans. He has also played lead guitar for the indie rock band The Awkward Stage and has composed music for several feature films, including Various Positions, Red Deer, and Control Alt Delete.

Tygh's passion for the arts is evident in his involvement with the Amigos Solos Theater Company, which he founded in 2001 with fellow actor James Hutson. The company has produced several critically acclaimed productions, including a production of David Mamet's American Buffalo.

Born in Vancouver, Canada, to American parents, Tygh is a citizen of both the United States and Canada. He has been raised between a small fishing town just outside of Vancouver and Denver, Colorado, and considers himself a "Citizen of The World".
