A driven New York woman takes a week-long break with her boyfriend on a tropical island, but agrees to write a story for her magazine about a nearby island. She's forced to take a flight piloted by a laid-back heavy drinker she can't stand, and things take a turn for the worse when their plane crash-lands on a deserted island with little hope of rescue.
