Biography

Hoyt Richards, a renowned and multifaceted individual, was born in Syracuse, New York, and spent his childhood in the Main Line area outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was the fourth of six siblings. As a scholar-athlete in high school, Hoyt excelled in football and track, and later graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics.

However, a football injury led Hoyt to visit a shoulder specialist in New York, where he was unexpectedly discovered as a fashion model. He went on to enjoy a long and successful modeling career, eventually transitioning to acting, writing, and producing. Hoyt is widely regarded by many in the fashion industry as the world's first male supermodel.

In 2000, Hoyt relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his growing passion for the entertainment industry. Five years later, he founded his production company, Tortoise Entertainment, which has since released two films: "Dumbbells" and "Intersection." Both films have garnered an impressive array of accolades on the film festival circuit, with "Dumbbells" winning over thirty-five Best Picture awards and Hoyt receiving multiple awards for Best Actor and Best Screenplay.

Hoyt's romantic thriller, "Intersection," won over fifty Best Picture awards, and he received thirty Best Actor awards for his role as Cobb Mills. As a screenwriter, Hoyt has achieved notable success, placing in the top 30 of the Slamdance Screenplay Competition twice, being a Golden Script finalist, and a quarter-finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowships.
