In the lawless Wyoming Territory of the late 19th century, a traveling judge named John Goodnight returns to the small town of Rollins, where he's reunited with his former flame Callie Bluepointe. Callie's son Will Donohue, a suspect in a recent bank robbery, is captured by the judge and becomes the focus of a lynch mob mentality. John must protect Will until he gets a fair trial, while also deciding whether to trust him in his search for the real culprit, Deke Spradling.
