The Good German

In post-war Berlin, a journalist named Jake Geismer returns to cover the Potsdam conference, donning a captain's uniform to ease his passage. His mission is twofold: to find his old flame, Lena, who's now a prostitute desperate to escape the city, and to investigate a murder that's been committed in the Russian sector. As Jake navigates the treacherous landscape, he must confront the dark secrets of the past and the motivations of those around him, including Lena's sinister keeper, Corporal Tully.
