In 1944, Captain Ben Grogan and Sergeant Joseph Tane are sent to explode a German military facility on a Channel Island, creating a diversion before the Normandy landings. They hear screams and prepare to detonate explosives, but Grogan's search for a woman's screams leads to his capture and Joseph's murder. Grogan escapes, only to discover his "wife" Helena is a demon, brought to life by Colonel Klaus Meyer's occult research to create a powerful weapon.
