In the cutthroat world of show business, four talented performers - George, Connie, Joan, and Eddie - come together and achieve success as a team, eventually making it to Vaudeville. However, their happiness is short-lived as George's ex-flame, Nancy Gai, tries to break up their marriage. The group eventually goes their separate ways, with Connie finding success on her own in a Boston nightclub, while Eddie and Joan maintain their couple act. George, on the other hand, ends up singing for drinks in a San Francisco bar. Despite their struggles, the group must confront the harsh realities of show business and the fleeting nature of fame.
