David Wagner, a kid stuck in the 1950s, is addicted to the classic sitcom "Pleasantville". When an eccentric repairman gives them a magical remote, they accidentally zap themselves into the show's world. David and his sister Jennifer must adjust to a 50s lifestyle of repressed desires and different societal values while trying to find their way home.
