The movie follows Arindam Mukherjee, a famous actor, as he travels by train to collect an award. During the journey, he is interviewed by journalist Aditi, who initially resists but eventually becomes charmed by Arindam's openness about his past, fears, and secrets. Meanwhile, various subplots unfold, exposing the flaws and hypocrisies of society. The film reaches a climax when Arindam is overcome with guilt and contemplates suicide, but Aditi's intervention prevents this. The next morning, Aditi destroys her notes, and Arindam returns to his celebrity status, leaving his confessions and guilt behind.
