Biography

Sharmila Tagore, a Bengali actress, achieved remarkable success at a young age, gracing numerous Bengali classics before transitioning to Hindi cinema. This transition initially cemented her status as a romantic actress, later evolving her into a legendary actress due to her intense films opposite Superstar Rajesh Khanna. As a distant relative of the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore, Sharmila's personal life is also marked by her marriage to His Highness Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, the Nawab of Pataudi, with whom she shares three children.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, born on August 16, 1970, Saba, and Soha Ali Khan, born on October 4, 1978, are her offspring. Her on-screen pairing with Shammi Kapoor in the sixties contributed significantly to her fame. However, as an actress, Sharmila Tagore evolved and became popular due to her versatility, starring in films belonging to various genres.
