Married Bachelor background

Married Bachelor

A seemingly carefree bachelor's facade hides a web of deceit, as he peddles a self-help book about marriage while keeping its true authorship a secret, all while entangled in a dangerous game of debt and crime.

Randolph Haven, a charming but irresponsible husband, and his wife Norma, a saleslady, are struggling to make ends meet. To escape their financial woes, Randolph goes into business with a bookie, but things spiral out of control when he sells a manuscript on "The Psychology of Marriage" to cover a bet. The problem is, he didn't write the book, and he's forced to pose as a bachelor. As Randolph becomes more entrenched in his fake persona, he starts to believe it himself and moves into a luxurious penthouse. Meanwhile, the publisher falls for Norma, unaware she's married to the supposed expert on marriage.
