In this movie, a rigid French police officer is reassigned to the city's red-light district and, in his zeal, disrupts the delicate balance of power between the police, pimps, and sex workers. After being fired for his meddling, the officer finds himself unexpectedly entangled in the world of prostitution and becomes the pimp of a woman named Irma.
