In the sequel to the original, a new threat emerges as Wario, a rival of Mario, seeks to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom with the help of his newly acquired son, Bowser. Mario and his friends must join forces with Yoshi, a new ally, to thwart Wario's plans and save their home.
