In a post-apocalyptic Australia, Max Rockatansky, a former patrolman, scavenges for food and petrol on deserted highways. He discovers a small oil refinery under siege by brutal bikers led by Lord Humungus. To get gasoline, Max must provide the residents with a powerful truck to transport fuel to safety.
