Handsome Korean war veteran Jerry Shand returns to his hometown to a hero's welcome after a Life magazine photo shows him as Marilyn Monroe's driver during her visit to the troops. However, his fiancée Leslie has lost patience while he pursues a scholarship and becomes entangled with a spoiled heiress.
