He shared his childhood with an older sister, Kelly Show, and was deeply influenced by his family's love for the arts. As he entered the realm of higher education, he majored in theater arts at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His professional acting career kick-started with the role of "Rick Hyde" in the popular soap opera "Ryan's Hope" from 1984 to 1987. After a successful stint, he took a year-long sabbatical to hone his craft at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
