In the animated comedy film, a slovenly zookeeper and widowed father, Frank, catches a cold after swallowing a germ-ridden egg. The virus, Thrax, takes up residence inside Frank's body, known as the "City of Frank", and plots to kill him in 48 hours. A white blood cell named Osmosis Jones, who works as a member of Immunity cell, teams up with a cold pill named Drix to stop Thrax and save Frank's life, preventing his daughter Shane from becoming an orphan.
