Richard Horvitz began his acting career at the tender age of 10, with numerous stage productions already under his belt. One of his most notable early roles was in the musical "Oliver!", starring the legendary Dick Shawn and Stubby Kaye. As a child, Richard's talents didn't go unnoticed, as he landed numerous commercial gigs and made memorable guest appearances on popular television shows such as "Diff'rent Strokes" (1978),"Head of the Class" (1986),"You Can't Take It with You", "Rags to Riches", and many more.
As he transitioned into adulthood, Richard attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before leaving to star in the TBS original TV series "Safe at Home" (1985). In 1987, he co-starred alongside Mark Harmon and Kirstie Alley in the Carl Reiner-directed film "Summer School" (1987),produced by Paramount Studios. More recently, Richard has appeared in notable films such as "The Informant!" (2009),where he played Matt Damon's attorney, "Bob Zaideman", and "Crazy, Stupid, Love." (2011),alongside Steve Carell.
Richard's impressive filmography also includes "Race to Space" (2001),"The Legend of Galgameth" (1996) for the Disney Channel, and "Storm" (1999),starring Martin Sheen. He has also continued to make guest appearances on television, including numerous appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (2003).
Fans of animation will recognize Richard's iconic voice acting roles, including "Zim" on Nickelodeon's "Invader ZIM" (2001),"Billy" on Cartoon Network's "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" (2003),"Dagget" on Nickelodeon's "The Angry Beavers" (1997),and many more. In the world of video games, Richard has lent his voice to titles such as "Psychonauts", "Destroy All Humans", "Kinectimals", "Metal Gear Solid 4", "Ratchet and Clank: Crackin' Time", and many others. Additionally, savvy viewers will recognize Richard as the "Green Grapes" in the Fruit of the Loom commercials.
