Midnight Express

Billy Hayes, an American, is caught trying to smuggle hashish out of Istanbul Airport and is sentenced to four years in prison. He befriends a few inmates, including Jimmy, Erich, and Max, but is warned to trust no one. As Billy's family tries to get him released, Max advises him to escape, which Jimmy has been trying to do. Billy becomes desperate and must decide between letting the prison destroy him or taking control of his life.
