John Vincent Hurt was a renowned stage, screen, and television actor born on January 22, 1940, in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, England. He was the youngest child of Phyllis (Massey),an engineer and former actress, and Reverend Arnould Herbert Hurt, an Anglican clergyman and mathematician.
