The film takes place in the Shamshatoo Refugee Camp in Pakistan, where 53,000 refugees have been living in dire conditions since the Soviet Union's invasion in 1979 and the US bombing of Afghanistan in 2001. The story follows two Afghan cousins, Enayat and Jamal, who embark on a perilous journey to London in search of a better life.
