Filming a horror movie in a forest, a group of students and their professor from the University of Pittsburgh hear news of the dead rising on TV. As chaos ensues, some students decide to leave, while others head to their dorms. A group, including Mary, Debra, and Jason, travel to Debra's parents' house in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
