In Johannesburg, a innovative engineer, Deon Wilson, creates robots to reduce crime, but his rival, Vincent Moore, is jealous of his success. When Deon develops an AI, the CEO of Tetravaal asks him to abandon the project. Deon secretly tests the AI on a damaged robot, which is later stolen by criminals and reprogrammed to commit bank heists.
