Bill Marchant, a talented individual, was born William Geoffrey Marchant on March 17, 1964, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to Ruth and Murray Marchant. As a young boy, he, along with his family, relocated to Georgetown, Ontario, where his acting career began to take shape at the tender age of 14.
As he grew older, Bill attended the drama program at the University of Guelph at the age of 18, further honing his craft. In addition to his work as an actor, he has also ventured into directing, with his award-winning debut feature film "Everyone" (2004) being a testament to his skill.
Bill's multifaceted talents extend beyond acting, as he is also a gifted musician. He has produced and co-written two albums, "Odlum" and "Seven Miles Out", in collaboration with singer-songwriter Michael Chase. The tracks from these albums have been featured in various notable productions, including Showtime's "Queer as Folk" (2000),Fox Television's "Higher Ground" (2000),and the feature film "Suspicious River", directed by Lynne Stopkewich.
