A manager secretly hires Ray to paint power towers along a 15-mile stretch of high-tension wires. Ray's crew, including his close friend Steve, initially resist the addition of Gerry, a skilled Australian climber who joins the team. Despite their reservations, Ray hires Gerry and they begin to fall in love.
