A vagrant, David Cummings, is released from jail by an attorney who hires him to impersonate a missing millionaire, whose presence is crucial for distributing a vast inheritance. As Cummings assumes the millionaire's identity, he must deceive the missing man's wife, brother, and sister-in-law. However, the attorney's plan takes a deadly turn, leading to murder, attempted murder, and Cummings' entombment. Can he escape and restore justice?
