The Big Fix background

The Big Fix

A former 1960s counterculture activist turned private investigator is drawn back into the world of politics when a former lover asks for his help investigating a smear campaign, only to find himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy.

Moses Wine, a former 1960s radical, now works as a private investigator in Los Angeles. His life takes an unexpected turn when his old girlfriend Lila Shea asks for his help investigating a doctored photo of Congressman Miles Hawthorne embracing Howard Eppis, a fugitive from the California 4, an anti-establishment group. The photo could derail Hawthorne's gubernatorial campaign, and Moses is tasked with finding out who is behind it. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of unanswered questions and missing persons, including Oscar Procari, Jr., who funded the California 4's defense. With the investigation taking a deadly turn, Moses must navigate his personal feelings for Lila and confront his own radical past.
