Two middle-aged men, Danny and Wheeler, feel unfulfilled. Danny is stuck and bitter, having driven away his girlfriend, while Wheeler pursues fleeting sexual encounters. After a confrontation with a tow-truck driver, they're sentenced to community service as big brothers. Danny is paired with Augie, a socially awkward LARP enthusiast, and Wheeler with Ronnie, a foul-mouthed young boy. Despite a rough start, they begin to connect with their charges, but their own personal growth is put to the test when they make mistakes. Can they learn to become positive role models for the boys?
