In the 1840s, the Yellow Hands Sioux are forcibly removed from their sacred land by government-backed trappers, leading them to retreat into an apocalyptic spirituality. Lord John Morgan, feeling his spirit weaken, returns to America and revives the tribe through self-mutilation and rituals, eventually convincing them to take action against the trappers.
