In this movie, Jim Craig, an 18-year-old Australian farm boy, is forced to leave his mountain home after his father's death. He moves to the lowlands to earn money to save the farm, only to find himself caught in a 20-year-old feud between twin brothers, played by Kirk Douglas. The brothers, who haven't spoken in years, are best friends and rivals, and their rivalry puts Jim and his love interest, Jessica, in the middle of a heated conflict.
