A group of passengers and crew on a freighter en route to South America face numerous challenges when the captain secretly transports illegal phosphorous cargo. As the ship takes on water, a mutiny erupts and some crew members abandon ship, leaving those who remain trapped in a massive seaweed bed. They stumble upon a centuries-old Spanish galleon, now inhabited by the descendants of the original crew, and must work together to survive.
