Mike Lewis, a young man from L.A., spends the summer with his grandfather in Colorado, initially disapproving of the old man's cowboy lifestyle. Eventually, Mike decides to head back home, and his grandfather agrees, planning a six-week horseback journey to California, the Pacific, and a chance for redemption.
