The film tells the story of the passionate and tumultuous relationship between Aristotle Onassis, a wealthy Greek shipping magnate, and Jacqueline Kennedy, the elegant and grieving widow of President John F. Kennedy.

Theo Tomasis, a Greek shipping magnate, works on his own moral code to achieve his goals, including his desire for Liz Cassidy, the widow of assassinated US President James Cassidy. Theo marries Liz to escape the spotlight and joins his son Nico in enjoying the high life. However, their passionate but turbulent marriage is tested by their fundamental differences in personality and values.
