In a small desert town in July 1995, two teenage girls, Sam and Corey, are trying to start anew after leaving Virginia. Sam's family is still reeling from the loss of her brother, while Corey's reckless behavior is causing trouble. When their car breaks down, Corey's partying ways take over, and a series of bizarre events unfolds. A meteorite hits a windmill, a burned-out war veteran predicts the end of the world, and Sam begins to experience strange hallucinations while sleepwalking. As the town descends into chaos, Sam and Corey must confront the possibility of time travel and the courage it takes to make things right.
