A retired widow, Sara Goldfarb, lives a dull existence, spending most of her time watching TV and fantasizing about being a guest on a self-help show. Her son, Harry, and his friend Tyrone aim to become successful drug dealers, while Harry's girlfriend Marion is caught up in their world. Meanwhile, Sara develops an addiction to weight loss pills, which take a toll on her mental state.
