Circus manager Karel Cernik plans a daring escape from Communist-controlled Czechoslovakia to freedom, using his entire circus as a decoy. As he prepares his three-year plan, he's unexpectedly summoned by the secret police for a routine questioning, suspecting an informer among his staff.
