A Navy officer, Tommy Halstead, joins his friends, Pomeroy Watson and Smokey Adams, on a trip to Hawaii. Unbeknownst to Tommy, a magazine journalist, Dorothy Roberts, is trying to uncover his true identity as Russ Raymond, a famous crooner. Meanwhile, Pomeroy writes love letters to Patty Andrews, but Smokey's meddling causes trouble.
