Stephano Torino, a reluctant Gypsy, is forced into a marriage with Annie Caldash, a young Gypsy woman from Chicago. Initially, Annie has no intention of going through with the wedding, but Steve decides to play along. However, Annie changes her mind, and Steve gets stuck in the situation. After several months away, Steve returns and is asked for a divorce, leading him to reevaluate his decision.
