Two friends, Larry and Shemp, flee in a stolen train car, with Larry preparing to pop the question to his girlfriend, but their escape is jeopardized by Shemp's eccentric behavior and fixation on a fantastical giant canary.

In this comedy, two friends, Larry and Shemp, occupy a stolen train car, while Larry tries to win his girlfriend's hand in marriage. However, she demands that Shemp marry her sister first. Meanwhile, Shemp is smitten with "Carry", a hallucination of a massive canary, and is often drunk. An investigator from the railroad, Moe, arrives to uncover the car's theft from a moving train, and he also has a crush on Shemp's love interest. Ultimately, Shemp finds himself entangled with both women, but his true devotion remains with his imaginary canary.
