In this movie, Neil Chaine, the owner of the Desert Inn in Las Vegas, faces a setback when his planned expansion to Atlantic City is denied due to his association with a man with underworld ties. Despite being offered a way out, Chaine refuses to step down and is subsequently voted out by his board. Heartbroken, Chaine is advised to buy a nearby casino, which he does. However, his former partners, including Gray, who took over his position, are determined to see Chaine fail in his new venture.
