Army Lieutenant Devlin leads a mission to stop a gang of hired guns, working for Frank Bullitt, from driving homesteaders off the range. He captures Bullitt and three of his men, but their journey to Fort Jeffrey is complicated when they come across two women, Della Watson and her grandmother, and agree to escort them. However, tensions rise when it's revealed that Sgt. Frick has betrayed the mission and more gunmen are sent to free the prisoners.
