Two friends, Martin and Georg, formed a lifelong bond in 16th-century Europe during the Inquisition. While they grew up together as orphans, their paths diverged as adults. Georg pursued a life in the church, while Martin became a skilled army captain. When Martin is tasked with carrying out executions, he is forced to confront a difficult choice between his friendship with Georg and his duty to the church.
